GroupBuyz is operated by ADROITWAVES PTY LTD. In this Privacy Policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to ADROITWAVES PTY LTD.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

Our application enables users to create groups, invite members, coordinate group purchases, manage shared expenses, and track settlement amounts.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected within the GroupBuyz application.

We collect or generate the following information when you use GroupBuyz:

• Account information: Your name, email address, account identifier, and information needed to sign in and manage your account.
• Group and membership information: Group names, descriptions, invitations, join requests, member roles, group photos, and pickup or contact details entered by group organisers.
• Purchase and order information: Item descriptions and photos, quantities, claims, order totals, contributions, and settlement records.
• Payment coordination information: Payment instructions entered by organisers, amounts, payment status, references, notes, and optional proof-of-payment images uploaded by members.
• Service information: In-app notifications and records needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

We do not require you to provide bank account or card details to use GroupBuyz. Payments take place outside the app. However, payment instructions, notes, or proof images that users choose to provide may contain bank details or other personal information.

We use collected information for application-related purposes, including:

• Creating and managing user accounts.
• Creating groups and managing membership.
• Inviting members to join groups.
• Coordinating group purchases.
• Calculating contributions and settlement amounts.
• Displaying purchase and settlement records to authorised group members.
• Supporting application functionality and security.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Access to private group membership, claims, orders, and payment records is controlled by group membership, role, and group privacy settings.

Members may see information needed to coordinate purchases. Group organisers may see additional operational information, including payment submissions and proof images, where needed to manage a run. Group owners and authorised organisers may manage membership and access settings.

A person who enters a valid invite code may see the group name before becoming an active member. Group and item photos are stored as publicly accessible images. Anyone with an image URL may be able to view or share that image, so users should avoid including personal or sensitive details in these photos.

Removed or inactive members lose access to restricted group records through the application. This does not remove information they previously saved or shared, or make publicly accessible photos private.

Group owners or authorised members may invite others to join a group.

Names and email addresses may be used to identify members and facilitate invitations.

Invited individuals will not gain access to private group information until their membership has been authorised and activated.

GroupBuyz is a coordination and expense-tracking platform only.

GroupBuyz does not collect, receive, hold, process, transfer, or distribute money between group participants.

All payments and settlements are independently managed by the relevant group owners and members outside the application.

The group owner is responsible for coordinating purchases, collecting contributions, paying suppliers, managing refunds, and settling outstanding amounts.

The application provides settlement calculations and records for informational purposes only.

GroupBuyz does not independently verify payments or guarantee the completion of any financial transaction.

GroupBuyz does not acquire ownership of funds, goods, or transactions arranged through groups.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, or disclosure.

Access to private group data is restricted to authorised, active members through application access controls.

No electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.

We make group information available to members and organisers according to their roles and the group’s privacy settings. This can include names, purchase activity, payment status, and, for authorised organisers or the person who uploaded it, payment proof.

A person using a valid invite code may see the group name before joining. Group and item photos can be viewed by anyone with their public image URLs. Other restricted group records are not made publicly available through the application.

We use service providers for account authentication, hosting, file storage, and account emails. They process information as needed to provide and support those services. We may also disclose information when required by law.

We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

We retain account, group, purchase, payment coordination, notification, and uploaded content for as long as reasonably necessary to operate GroupBuyz and meet applicable legal or record-keeping obligations.

You can delete your account in the app through Profile > Account maintenance > Delete account, or contact hello@groupbuyz.com for assistance. Before using in-app deletion, you must transfer any groups you own and leave active groups. Unresolved group or order records may also need to be addressed before deletion can be completed.

Some historical purchase, payment, or settlement records may need to remain for other members’ records or applicable legal requirements. Account deletion may not remove copies of information previously saved or shared by others, or publicly accessible group or item photos. Contact us if you need help with content associated with your account.

Users may request access to or correction of their personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in application functionality, data practices, or legal requirements.
